YUVIDYA EDUCATION PRIVATE LIMITED

Privacy Policy

How Yuvidya handles personal information when you browse, enroll, learn, contact us, or verify a certificate.

Effective date:

1. Who handles your information

YUVIDYA EDUCATION PRIVATE LIMITED operates Yuvidya and is responsible for the personal information handled through our website, student portal, programs, and support channels. This Policy explains the information we use, why we use it, who may receive it, and the choices available to you.

For privacy questions or requests, contact support@yuvidya.com with “Privacy” in the subject line.

2. Information we collect

The information needed depends on how you use Yuvidya:

  • Account and contact details: name, email address, mobile number, authentication records, and profile information you provide.
  • Academic and enrollment details: college or university, course or branch, year or semester, student or roll number, selected program, eligibility details, and enrollment status.
  • Learning records: lesson progress, attendance, assignments, project submissions, assessment results, mentor feedback, and certificate records.
  • Payment records: order and transaction references, amount, status, receipt details, and refund records. Card, UPI, or banking credentials are handled by the payment provider, not collected as part of your learning profile.
  • Support communications: messages, attachments, and information you send when asking for help or raising a complaint.
  • Technical records: IP address, device and browser information, timestamps, security events, and necessary cookies or similar storage used to operate the service.

We ask for optional photographs or additional documents only where relevant to a stated purpose. Do not submit unrelated sensitive information, another person’s private information, or payment credentials in assignments or support messages.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, verify contact details and eligibility, process enrollments and payments, provide lessons and feedback, track completion, issue documents, maintain certificate verification, respond to support requests, and investigate fraud or misuse.

We also use necessary records for accounting, compliance, resolving disputes, and improving the reliability and usability of the service. When consent is required, we explain the purpose and obtain consent before processing. Optional promotional updates are separate from messages needed for your account or program, and you can unsubscribe from them.

4. When information is shared

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Relevant information may be shared with:

  • Authorized mentors and reviewers who need it to support or evaluate your program.
  • Your associated college or institution for authorized enrollment coordination, attendance, progress, evaluation, or document verification.
  • Service providers for hosting, storage, communications, payment processing, support, and platform operation, under appropriate confidentiality and data-use restrictions.
  • Authorities or other parties when disclosure is required by law, a valid legal process, or necessary to protect lawful rights and address fraud.

Sharing your profile with a prospective employer or publishing an identifiable testimonial, photograph, or project showcase requires a separate purpose and permission where applicable. An institutional partnership does not give unrelated colleges or companies unrestricted access to your records.

5. Public certificate verification

A person using a certificate ID or QR verification link may see the holder’s name, program, duration or completion period, issue date, certificate identifier, and current validity status. This allows a college or employer to check the document.

Public verification does not display contact information, passwords, date of birth, home address, payment details, private submissions, or detailed assessment records. If a certificate is corrected or revoked, the public record is updated. Contact support to report inaccurate information or an unauthorized disclosure.

6. Cookies, storage, and external content

Essential cookies and browser storage support sign-in, security, session management, and required preferences. Blocking them may prevent account features from working. Optional analytics or marketing technologies, where used, are subject to the choices and consent required by applicable law.

Programs may include YouTube videos or other external content. When you choose to open or play that content, the provider may receive device, connection, cookie, or account information under its own privacy policy. Your settings with that provider also apply. Yuvidya’s own handling of your learning records remains covered by this Policy.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep account and learning information while it is needed to provide your program, handle support and academic reviews, and meet legal obligations. Routine support correspondence is normally retained for up to 24 months after the request is closed. Payment, tax, and accounting records are retained for the periods required by applicable law.

Limited certificate and issuance records may be retained for continuing verification and preventing misuse, even after an account is closed, where a lawful basis remains. This does not require keeping unrelated profile information or all learning submissions indefinitely.

When retention is no longer necessary, information is deleted or anonymized. A legal hold, unresolved dispute, or statutory requirement may delay deletion of particular records. Backup copies are removed through the backup lifecycle and are not used to restore a deleted account for ordinary operation.

8. Security and service-provider locations

We apply technical and organizational safeguards proportionate to the information handled, including access restrictions, secure transmission, and account-security controls. Access is limited to authorized people who need the information for their responsibilities. We review reported incidents and take action required by applicable law.

Some service providers may process information in India or other countries. Transfers are subject to applicable restrictions, contractual safeguards, and lawful processing requirements. We do not promise that every third-party service stores all information exclusively in India.

9. Your choices and requests

You may contact us to request access to or correction of your information, account closure, deletion where permitted, withdrawal of consent for consent-based processing, or review of a privacy concern. We explain any consequences for services that need the information you ask us to stop using.

Send requests from your registered email where possible. We may request proportionate verification to protect your account; we do not need your password, payment PIN, or full card number. We aim to respond within 30 calendar days, or sooner where the law requires. If a request cannot be fully granted, we explain the reason and available next steps.

10. Learners under 18

Our programs primarily serve college students. For a learner under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide the authorization and verifiable consent required by applicable law before the relevant personal information is processed. We do not use children’s information for targeted advertising or behavioral profiling.

If you believe a minor’s information was provided without appropriate authorization, contact support@yuvidya.com. We will investigate, restrict the relevant processing where necessary, and arrange correction or deletion as appropriate.

11. Privacy concerns and policy updates

Privacy and data requests may be addressed to YUVIDYA EDUCATION PRIVATE LIMITED at support@yuvidya.com. For a formal grievance, include “Privacy Grievance” in the subject line. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and work to resolve them within one month. You may also approach a competent authority where applicable law provides that option.

We update this Policy when our services or information practices change. The effective date appears above. Material new uses are explained before they apply, and fresh consent is requested where required; an update is not permission to use earlier information for an unrelated purpose.
